Season Review; Storm Season 1622 ST

The Queen of Fiesive is pregnant! At long last the King and his Sister-Queen have finally conceived a child together as an heir. Whilst rumblings are heard from certain dissenters in the Rolymer family talking about incest and the Turral Wars, the King is ignoring them (once again) and has declared that hunting in the lands of Fiesive on Royal grounds will be allowed as a celebration for the next two weeks. The Queen has said to be "pleasantly surprised" and is spending the next week with her associate Kabeelian the Stranger, the odd magus from the east who now stands on the Red Circle.

Meanwhile, more news is a foot, the group of budding heroes led by Lady Deola Rawson of Fiesive have defeated the dragon Staurmburg who lived in the eastern lands of Surkorion. Here they vanquished him, earning the gratitude of the King of those parts, which has equally been said to please the Archbishop himself whose campaign of proselytising to barbarians is well known. More surprisingly the heroes returned with the Court Wizard of Fiesive, Garanwyn O'Farley, who is said to have been kidnapped and captured, guarded by the dragon, for the last two years by persons unknown. The Court Wizard has refused to comment on such matters, but has spent long periods of time in deep debate with the King, the Death Sword of the Church Militant, various Family Heads and other learned people.

The Red Circle's pleas for giving them control over the Wizards of Valantia has been vetoed by the King on the behest of his newly returned Court Wizard, pending investigation and debate. While the Red Circle control many of the military and religious functions of Fiesive, however, it seems that the King will be forced to allow them to take their demands to the Archbishop who may well decide in their favour.

The search for the Carpantium, a device taken from Naskorion by the Rawson family, is still in progress. The Inquistion have nearly ruled out the idea that the Thanatari Heresy were involved.

Envoys from the city of Galin have arrived in Calhaven, the Archbishops personal home, to discuss theological matters. While these meetings are informal, the ramifications of them can spread into the political dealings of Otkorion and the city states of the Felster Lake and so Surantyr is treading lightly, being careful not to offend their religious beliefs, and even allowing them to worship the Invisible God during their stay.

The Duncolm, the Temporal Incarnation of Death who is stationed nearby the Salantia Forest at Sword Wall, has at last declared that after not sighting a vampire within the forest for fifteen years, the small colony of vampires that once existed must now be surely extinct. He believes them to have been wiped out by the undead that live in forest that the vampires do not, themselves, control. A celebration will be held by the Durani Arawac House of St. Humakt shortly before Sacred Time.

Ten men where executed mid-Season by Valantian militia for entering the exclusion zone around Calantia Masonlord's new project. Four were said to be spies from Tiskos, although no official comment has been made.

The Cearbhaill family of Otkorion have declared their leading members of the Warrior Castre to be worthy to learn the mysteries of the Weapon Masters of the north, seven men have travelled north to learn from the great weapon masters of the lands, learning such abilities like Gae Bolga or Sword Spinning. The Family has now tried to maintain it's guard in case it is attacked during this period when it's heroes are not nearby.

Three members of the Order of the Blade apparently were murdered in southern Otkorion near the end of the season, some point their fingers towards the House of Ruam Clis, although those Swords investigating it have spent more and more time interrogating members of the House Cearnlinthor. The Head of the House Dunfal has vanished, disappearing again as he often does so to engage in mysterious HeroQuesting activities. The temple to Arkat Swordsinger, a derivative of Great Arkat, has been burned down in mid-Otkorion. In retaliation they declared a blood feud with the believed culprits, the southern worshippers of Arkat Chaosbane, and have met in bloody skirmishes over the last two weeks.

In western Lankst a man named Kirbain, reputedly an Otkorioni, was responsible for slaying a beast causing terror and fear in a village of Orlanthi barbarians by merely dealing a single deadly punch to the beast.

In less local news:

Rumours of the Duke of Naskorion setting up a church venerating Darkness demons has been reported.

The date has been set for the Seventh Ecclesiastical Council of Malkionism. Otkorion will attend through it's Archbishop.

Galvosti merchants have once again boycotted travelling through Otkorion for reasons of persecution.

The city of Galin has reported numerous fires and arson attacks upon the royal palace, continuing a reign of terror caused by unknown terrorists.
