Season Review; Earth Season and mid-Dark Season 1623 ST

Earth Season

A new coalition of power has formed within Otkorion. The Red Circle, after numerous meetings and exchanges of gifts of power, have joined forces with the Athal Luslani - otherwise known as the Inquisition. With the mounting pressure of the recently discovered vampires of Tislif, and the growing troubles amongst the Humakti, the coalition has formed to ensure the safety of Otkorion with the blessings of the Archbishop upon them. The agreement was signed between Teelane Halifar and the other members of the Inner Circle with the leaders of the Inquisition atop Tempest Halls, a bond that was announced to be called "The Lawful Binding of Arkat". A powerful magical item, called the Lawstone, was used as the emblem of the great pairing. Already members of the Inquistion have started to be seen in and around Fiesive. The Red Circle have begun a new petition to the King of Valantia asking for domain over the city sorcerors, now wholy supported by theAthal Luslani.

The warrior Leon Au Fragraa has defeated the Ecclesiastical Noble Ghouls of Varnish Marsh in eastern Otkorion, and has already taken their fortress in the name of his Lord. Priests and magic users capable of controlling the marsh have been summoned to his side at a nice wage.

Arafan Birogel, Head of the Family Birogel has retired leaving a new opening at the head of his Families Iron Council. His parting orders were to ensure the taking of Lalia, to open new domains for both his family and Otkorion. He has retired to somewhere in southern Otkorion to live on a Stead with his second cousin and live as an elder amongst the sheep herders there.

The Ruam Clis have since reformed in Sukorion, trying to find refuge amongst the unconverted pagans. Sir Harm of the Proud Lance has called for a concentrated effort to marginalise them and not allow them to form any power bases. They are scattered throughout the land, seeking resources. Some have set up near a Chaos Maw that has recently opened in southern Surkorion, acting as defenders for the people around against the hideousness that spews forth from the portal every now and again. They have denounced Sreng Kirwan, Temporal Incarnation of Justice, as a collaborating coward.

Rumours abound of assassination attempts on the Queen's life by the cult of Great Arkat and Nighthawks, although none have been substantiated.

The start of Dark Season

Grave omens arive from the words of the Tempest Hall priests, awful visions sent by the Saints and God Himself so they claim. These visions have been suffered by others in and around Otkorion, and the Archbishop has formed a circle of Sages to investigate the divinationary claims. The visions are apparently of spiders trying to disassemble an enormous clock. No-one is sure what it means.

More riots have broken out, this time between the Durani Arawac and the Votaries. Last season the Durani Arawac came to blows with the Wapensal, before making peace, but now the fanatical Votaries have attacked numerous members of the Durani Arawac claiming that St. Humakt has instilled to them the right to defend the land from the Living Dead. Smaller riots are now becoming more common, from bar room brawls to street fights, between houses such as the Cearnlinthor, the Order of the Blade and the Wapensal.

The Red Circle-Inquisition have instituted a set of laws that now apply to members of boh organisations concerning how to aid and complement each others abilities. The organisation has had discussions with Naisii Brodie, Temporal Incarnation of Death, about seeking out and destroying Tislif.

The Ruam Clis refugees in Surkorion have been causing no end of trouble for the Otkorioni people, routinely raiding and sometimes killing such holy pious members of the great Henotheistic Church.

In less local news:

Borin have been taking well to the new worship of Henotheism. A large Church is now complete near Belstos.

The Holuti people have begun a war with the trolls of Guhan.

The Rafali people of Lalia have been skirmishing with Lanksti forces, then when defeating them not taking any plunder or goods.
